Tom McEvoy

Bio: Tom McEvoy is one of poker true gentleman. His approach to the game is that of a student. He is constantly working to improve his game. Tom has found much success at the poker table and he is also the most prolific poker book author with eleven books in print. Tom begin playing poker as a profession in 1979 when he quit his accounting job in michingan to move to Las Vegas and pursue poker full time. He made history when he won a $10,000 seat in the WSOP after entering a satellite tournamnet. He parlayed the win into the 1983 WSOP Championship, and became the first player to win from a satellite seat. he has won an additional three bracelets at the WSOP giving him a total of four.
