Strip: The Play premieres Wednesday
Sapphire is a real gentlemen’s club (world’s largest, too) and Sapphire girls are real strippers
The intriguingly named $trip: The Play is a play about a fictional strip club in Las Vegas called “The Sunset Lounge” where the owner gets 86’ed and Metro goes undercover as a stripper.
Being located in Las Vegas, it’s natural to assume it’s a real gentlemen’s club, but as the ad states, “This is a Play, Not a Strip Club. Actresses, Not Strippers.” Hope the folks off the street can read.
We’re still intrigued, just as long as it isn’t an interactive play (we prefer to pay our good money and then sit and watch rather than be part of the play). Though with actresses as strippers, perhaps we’d make an exception.
The play premieres this Wednesday at 9 p.m., then plays every Wednesday through July 13.
It takes place at the Club Aruba at the Aruba Hotel & Spa (1215 Las Vegas Blvd. South, just south of Charleston).
Regular tickets are $39.99 with a two-drink minimum, but if you purchase at this link, you’ll get in for $25 and also see the stand-up comedy show directly after for free.
