PUNK ROCKER’S SECOND ANNUAL POKER TOURNAMENT

After a quick stop by Sam’s Town Thursday evening I found the punk rockers from around the World engaged in their second annual poker tournament. The event is combined with a bowling tournament held at the Sam’s Town Championship lanes. The group of fun loving, tattooed and pierced music lovers have been gathering at the Boulder Strip casino for nine years and represent the core of the independent punk rock recording industry. The sold out poker tournament was limited to about a hundred players; but, the bowling tournament beginning Saturday morning is expected to attract more than a thousand participants. Got nothing better to do this weekend then stop by Sam’s Town and join the crazy crowd in the bowling alley, or better yet, Sam’s Town’s poker room.
