I will refer to the poker blogger’s gathering at Caesars Palace last weekend as the Second Annual WPBT-during-the-WSOP Bloggers’ Tournament. The WPBT holds two tournaments a year that coincide with the WSOP Championships (Summer) or the WPT Championships (Holiday). This December’s WPBT Tournament will be the third annual Holiday Classic. The first was held at Sam’s Town in Las Vegas (note: so long ago the Prof was actually writing tournament reports). The 2004 gathering featured professional poker players Tom McEvoy, Marcel Luske, Karill Gerasimov, Charlie Shoten, Ron Rose, Evelyn Ng and Max Pescatori. Max actually played and won that first ever WPBT tournament after he survived a tough heads-up battle with Felicia Lee.
