Largest Prize in Reality TV History!Last year’s six-episode television series had $500,000 up for grabs (won by Josh Arieh) and was filmed at the luxurious Bodog Compound in Costa Rica, and later televised on Fox Sports Net. Along with poker pros David Williams, Evelyn Ng and Daniel Negreanu (whose unexpected appearance at the final table stunned everyone), other CAWCP hopefuls included a number of television, music and poker celebrities, such as Ultimate Fighting Champ Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell, actress/comedian Cheryl Hines (Curb Your Enthusiasm), “Boston” Rob Mariano (Survivor), Josh Malina (West Wing) and Willie Garson (Sex And The City), along with music stars Willa Ford and SR-71’s Mitch Allen.

For its second season, CAWCP will feature the largest prize ever awarded on a reality TV show—$1 million in cash and a $1 million contract with Bodog!

Starting on February 17th and scheduled to take place three times each week, players will have a chance to compete in online qualifiers. The top five players from each qualifier will be entered into the final tourney on March 31st.

With four times the amount of money up for grabs, this second season of CAWCP is sure to make reality TV history. Here’s what Negreanu had to say about season one of CAWCP:

“This was really a lot of fun—nobody has ever done anything quite like this, where you’ve got the combination of Internet qualifiers, celebrities and really top-notch pros. It was really interesting, and it’s what poker needs to do to maintain its momentum moving forward.”

And if Negreanu’s presence wasn’t enough to make the other players nervous, Ultimate Fighting Championship’s Light Heavyweight Champion jumped into the action.

“My strategy coming into the tournament? Just to play. I play some on the computer, so I was trying not to be too consistent,” Liddell said.
