FRIDAY AT THE RIO, HOME OF THE 2006 WSOP
These large card props in the corridor have nothing to do with the WSOP.
I spent the last couple of days at the Rio resort and took a stroll through the area of the exhibition space set aside for the 2006 World Series of Poker. The workers don’t actually begin doing the space set up until Sunday then it will be transformed into the world’s biggest action poker room with more than two hundred tables. I shot a few photos of the way the space looked on Friday. These images are dedicated to the WSOP poker freaks that just can’t wait for opening day. I could feel traces of the excitement that filled the room last year when the World Series of poker outstripped all expectation. 2006 promises to be another great poker show. I’m playing tonight in a short handed tournament for seats at the 2006 WSOP.
