Last year, on 7/7/07, Las Vegas had a record amount of weddings on the lucky day.
According to the Las Vegas County Marriage Bureau, there were 3,766 marriage licenses issued from July 5 to July 7 (normally there are 300-500 licenses per day).
This year’s 8/8/08 could be as popular, with many wedding chapels staying open 24 hours.
At Stratosphere, you can get married as part of 88 couples at 8:08 p.m. on the indoor observation deck on Level 108.
The cost? Naturally, $8.88.
The fee includes the en masse wedding ceremony, admission to the observation deck, minister fees, a free glass of champagne, free admission to the thrill rides, and a free photo.
