Everyone gets a casino!
Maxim magazine announced yesterday that its name would be used for a $1.2 billion, 60,000-square-foot hotel-casino with 2,300 rooms (2,000 of which will be hotel-condos, rented out by the owners), located near Circus Circus.
Dennis Publishing (Maxim‘s parent company) will partner with Concord Wilshire Partners, and for the honor of being a Maxim hotel-casino, Dennis will receive an upfront fee in the mid-seven figures, along with a percentage on all but casino revenue. Rande and Scott Gerber will design Maxim Lounge, and Dennis’ music magazine Blender will headline a 3,000-seat concert venue.
Construction is expected to begin in 2007, with an opening in 2010.
