John-Paul Kelly is now $194,434 richer and he has a shiny new WSOP bracelet to boot. His three day journey to poker stardom wasn’t exactly a walk through the park, instead it was a hard fought battle with 633 other poker players all seeking the same elusive title. The field was heavy with well know professionals and the final table included well know pro Eric Seidel; but, after the final all-in heads-up hand was dealt John-Paul was the champion.
Marc Tschirch claimed $120,102 for his second place finish while Jason DeWitt grabbed the $78,826 show money. Eric Seidel left in the seventh spot and collected $24,919 on his way to the exit.
