Fright Night, the classic vampire flick from the ’80s, is being remade by Dreamworks.
This time, instead of suburbia, the setting takes place in Las Vegas.
An impressive pedigree is being lined up for the movie, including “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” writer Marti Noxon, who wrote the script. Lars and the Real Girl director Craig Gillespie will direct.
Anton Yelchin, Toni Collette, and Colin Ferrell (playing the next-door vampire) are slated to star.
David Tennant (former Doctor Who) will play a Las Vegas magician (shades of Criss Angel) with knowledge of vampires.
Filming begins in July, so if you see a vampire running around the streets of Las Vegas… well, it wouldn’t be different from any night.
