The new Caesars Palace Garden of the Gods pools offers a “pool experience” in each of its 8 pools that began rolling out a couple weeks ago, culminating with today’s grand opening.
Pools are named after such gods as Bacchus, Fortuna, Apollo, Neptune, Temple, Jupiter, Venus, and Sokolati.
Some pools are adult-oriented (extra cost for women to go topless — though women get a discount), other pools contain waterfalls, bars, poolside gaming (blackjack), loads of cabanas, and chocolate.
Wait, what?
Yes, at one of the pools, chocolate will be available not just as a snack or dessert but in the form of a 30-foot chocolate waterfall (good for dunking strawberries — sold by the bucket) that cascades into a 3-acre pool filled with the stuff only Willy Wonka could dream of.
The Sokolati pool (greek for “chocolate”) is new to the Las Vegas scene and is the first swimming pool comprised entirely of chocolate.
Director of pools Ron Sebastian says that towels will be readily available, but only for purchase. “We expect to go through much of our recycled linens, and chocolate takes awhile to come out.”
Depending on the season, you may find Sokolati filled with dark chocolate, milk chocolate, or caramel.
Caramel costs extra.
Asked in jest what happens if a pool patron has an “accident,” Sebastian was quick to respond, “Don’t drink the brown water.”
