A REVIEW OF THE ‘PEARL POKER’ BY POKERPENS.COM
The Pearl Poker Pen a creation of PokerPens.com – Holly and Maple wood inlays rhodium plated fittings.
The Good
- The Size and Weight – There is a nice heft to the instrument, and it’s of the proper length to rest comfortably in the hand, even for extended periods.
- The Fittings – Everything locks together with the crisp precision one expects from top notch luxury. The rhodium plated inlays are tasteful and the metal takes full advantage of both the polish and matte finish. Best of all, they are properly attached to the cap so as to never interfere while writing.
- The Writing – The act of writing is an absolute joy with this pen, the weight offers just the pressure needed so the tip doesn’t just write on the surface,it glides effortless leaving a smooth and even flow of ink in it’s wake.
The Bad
- Very slight asymmetry with the pip’s, most noticeable the club, although this is a testament to the hand-crafted process.
- No identification Marks – I always enjoy looking at the various serial numbers, country of manufacture, and edition numbers that identify quality objects, but alas, only the ink cartridge offers any identification.
- The Price Point – While steep at $300 (US) for many, those that make poker a lifestyle will enjoy the quality of this writing instrument for a lifetime.
The Verdict
For anyone that lives the life of a successful professional poker player and is looking for a pen that compliments the lifestyle this is a great choice as are the other pens offered via pokerpens.com.
