After much teasing on Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s part about fighting Manny Pacquiao, he announced he will be putting on pounds to move up a class to fight junior middleweight Miguel Cotto on May 5 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.
Mayweather has been granted a one-fight license, on the condition of him completing his 87-day jail sentence on a plea deal of domestic violence. At least this fight will get him motivated to finish in time to train after his June 1 report date.
He last fought and won against Oscar De La Hoya in the 154-pound division.
