2011 WSOP ESPN TV Table
Caesar's Entertainment, owner of the WSOP tournament, released the 2012 schedule today along with some new changes in the event. Seth Palansky, Vice President Corporate Communications, opened the curtains on the largest, most action packed WSOP in the 43 years that the first ever, original poker tournament has been offered to poker players. Leave your calendar open from May 27 through July 16 when the November Nine of the $10,000 World Series Poker Championship event will head home until the November.
Poker players will be competing for 61 of the most coveted prizes in poker, A WSOP gold Championship bracelet. In all likelyhood they will also be racing for a share of the multimillions in prize pools. Additionally, a few lucky players will be playing in the richest format poker tournament ever offered and includes a $1,000,000 buy-in.
Caesar's Entertainment has taken the suggestions of WSOP players and applied them to the original WSOP tournament to produce this spectacular annual event. The 2012 schedule is designed to appeal to players limited to weekend playtime by offering the most events and with lower buy-ins for the "Weekend Warriors." This move also guarantees more players for the higher (typically up to $10,000 buy-in) championship events, larger prize pools and more "WSOP millionaires."
Again this year the World Series of Poker will be under the control of Jack Effel when it take over all the floor space in the Rio Resort's massive (114,000 Square-foot) convention center. Tables available will be approximately 470, up from the 378 utilized during the record setting 2011 WSOP.
